Job summary

Qualifications

  • Sophomore or junior status pursuing an accounting-related degree.
  • Completion of introductory accounting courses.
  • Tax classes preferred.
  • Strong technical and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze individual and trust tax returns.
  • Organize scanned client information and source documents.
  • Prepare workpapers with notes and calculations using Acrobat/Excel.
  • Review information from AutoFlow and input into tax software.
  • Conduct self-review of tax returns with tickmarks.
  • Review diagnostics, two-year comparisons, projections, letters and filing instructions.
  • Communicate with engagement team regarding missing information.
  • Prepare federal and state extensions.
