WithumSmith+Brown, PC in Columbia, MD or Tysons Corner, VA seeks a Private Client Services Tax Manager to lead tax engagements, supervise staff, and mentor teams while building client relationships.
You’ll review returns for individuals, trusts, partnerships and corporations, draft memoranda, identify tax planning opportunities, resolve controversies, and manage multiple engagements with various teams to meet deadlines. Strong leadership and communication required.
Withum’s Tax Services Group is made up of a brilliant team of tax specialists that work to ensure tax reporting obligations are met in an accurate and timely manner and minimize or defer the payment of taxes. Their comprehensive understanding of international, US federal, state, and local regulations, along with our affiliation with HLB International, allows them to help develop economical tax strategies anywhere. As a Private Client Services Tax Manager based out of either our Columbia, MD or Tysons Corner, VA office, you will work alongside an integrated team of seasoned, well‑known CPAs and industry leaders, taking a lead role on all aspects of tax engagements, supervising and mentoring staff, and building and maintaining client relationships.
The compensation for this position ranges from $120,000 – $150,000 for Columbia, MD. In addition to the base compensation, Withum offers a competitive benefits package and a bonus program (for eligible roles) based on individual and firm performance. Final offer amounts are based on multiple factors such as the specific role, hiring location, and the individual’s skills, experience, and qualifications.
