Private Client Counsel - Chicago

Thompson Coburn is seeking an attorney with 9+ years of estate planning experience to join its Private Client practice group in the Chicago office. The ideal candidate will have a strong tax-focused trusts and estates practice, including significant experience advising high and ultra-high net worth individuals, families, family offices, and closely held businesses on complex estate, gift, generation-skipping transfer, and fiduciary income tax matters. Candidates should have experience with sophisticated wealth transfer planning, trust and estate administration, business succession planning, and advising fiduciaries on complex tax issues. Strong technical tax expertise and a demonstrated ability to serve as a trusted advisor to sophisticated private clients are essential. This position is open to recruiters. All candidates must currently be licensed to practice law in Illinois.

The salary range for this position in our Chicago office is $300,000 - $400,000. Actual salary will vary and may be above or below the range based on relevant skills, training and other job-related factors. The range listed is just one part of Thompson Coburn's total compensation and benefits package for associates, which includes bonuses; life, health, accident and disability insurance; and a 401(k) plan.
