Our client is looking to add a Private Client Associate to one of its advisory teams. This Dallas-based multi-family office was built decades ago to advise a select group of families whose wealth was created through land ownership, energy interests, and privately held enterprises — and it still operates that way: small teams, long client relationships, and institutional-grade infrastructure that belies the firm's intimate size. Clients here aren't managed at arm's length. They're known by name.
The Role
The Private Client Associate is the operational backbone of a team serving ultra-high-net-worth families — multigenerational households, trusts, foundations, and related entities. The work is high-trust and client-facing, with real visibility into how the firm operates and a credible path toward advisory or relationship management over time.
What You’d Actually Be Doing
- Owning documentation from start to finish: new account paperwork, advisory agreements, trust and entity filings
- Opening and closing accounts — SMAs, brokerage, trust, entity — including re-registrations that come up during generational wealth transitions
- Executing and tracking money movement: wires, distributions, gifting, in-kind transfers
- Being the go-to person on the custodian relationship day to day
- Keeping client records accurate and audit-ready at all times
- Checking billing against agreements and catching discrepancies before they become problems
- Fielding client questions directly and knowing when something needs to go up the chain
- Pitching in on making the team's internal processes better over time
What We’re Looking For
- 5–7 years in financial services, client-facing rather than purely operational
- Background in wealth management, private banking, trust, family office, or an RIA; UHNW, trust, or entity experience preferred
- Comfort with account administration and custodial platforms (Schwab, Fidelity, Pershing, BNY, or similar)
- Strong Excel skills; working proficiency in Acrobat and PowerPoint
- Bachelor's degree, ideally in finance, accounting, business, or economics
- Sound judgment handling sensitive family information
The Kind of Person Who Thrives Here
- This role rewards people who don't wait to be told what to do. The associates who do well here catch issues before they escape, read between the lines of what a client actually needs, ask smart questions when something's unclear, own their mistakes and fix them quickly, and take the ball and run once something lands on their desk. If you need every task spelled out step by step, this probably isn't the right fit.
Why It’s Worth a Conversation
- Small-team environment where your work actually gets noticed by decision-makers
- Direct line to clients and advisors — with a real path toward advisory or relationship management if that's the direction you want to grow
- The resources and stability of a much larger platform, without the layers that usually come with it
- Competitive base salary, discretionary bonus, full benefits, and support toward licensing/continuing education
