Job description

Our client is an independent registered investment advisor managing over 10B in assets under management. The firm serves a carefully selected client base of high and ultra-high net worth individuals, families, foundations, and endowments, offering a fully integrated approach to wealth management that goes beyond traditional investment advisory. The firm operates with a collaborative, high‑standards culture in which each team member plays a meaningful role in delivering an exceptional client experience.

Position

The firm is seeking an Associate Advisor to join its New York or newly added Philadelphia advisory team. This individual will serve as the primary relationship manager for a defined book of smaller client relationships while also providing meaningful capacity support to senior advisors managing larger, more complex client households. This is an opportunity for a seasoned wealth management professional who has built a strong technical and client‑facing foundation and is looking to grow into a full advisory seat — deliberately and over time, not overnight.

The right candidate is highly self‑directed, detail‑oriented, and anticipates needs before being asked. Senior advisors on the team are looking to delegate with confidence, and this person will be expected to earn that trust quickly by demonstrating initiative, precision, and sound judgment. The firm’s growth trajectory creates real opportunity for this individual to expand their scope and responsibilities over time.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as primary point of contact for a defined book of UHNW client relationships, managing ongoing communication, day‑to‑day service needs, and relationship continuity
  • Support senior advisors on larger, more complex client households — attending client meetings, preparing presentation materials, and managing follow‑through on action items
  • Prepare customized client reporting, portfolio review presentations, and investment proposals
  • Assist with rebalancing and trading activity; develop fluency in the firm’s investment process and portfolio construction approach
  • Participate in new business development activity including conferences and pipeline management; eligible for closing and initiator credit
  • Collaborate with client service and operations teams to ensure seamless execution across account management, cash movements, and client onboarding
  • Contribute to the ongoing refinement of internal workflows and processes as the advisory team scales
Qualifications
  • 7–10 years of experience in wealth management, background in an RIA, private bank, or family office serving HNW/UHNW clients
  • Demonstrated experience managing client relationships independently, not solely in a support or operational capacity
  • Strong technical foundation across portfolio reporting, investment proposals, rebalancing, and trading
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or CFP, CFA, CAIA designation a plus
  • Proficiency with industry platforms; experience with Addepar, Salesforce, or equivalent reporting and CRM tools preferred
Personal Skills & Attributes
  • Proactive and self‑directed — identifies what needs to be done and does it without waiting to be asked
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communicator with the presence and polish to interface directly with sophisticated clients
  • Collaborative team player who is also capable of working independently and owning outcomes
  • Ambitious and growth‑oriented — motivated by the opportunity to build toward a full advisory role over time
  • Mission‑driven; an authentic interest in and alignment with the firm’s approach to impact and values‑based investing
