Job summary

Bankwell seeks a Business Analyst for the Private Client Group to partner with leadership, providing analytical support, BI insights, and portfolio reporting. The role blends data analytics with project coordination, and uses AI tools to improve efficiency across lending operations and executive support functions.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in financial services analytics, advanced Excel, BI tool experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Analytics, Data Science, or related field.
2–5 years of experience in commercial banking, financial services, analytics, or related support role.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills: pivot tables, Power Query, VLOOKUP, dashboards, financial modeling.
Proficiency with Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI platforms.
Demonstrated proficiency with AI/automation tools and applying AI to analytics or workflows.
Strong PowerPoint and presentation development skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain dashboards, scorecards, KPI reporting for commercial lending and deposits.
Analyze loan production, pipeline activity, deposits, portfolio concentrations, and profitability trends.
Prepare executive reports, management summaries for senior leadership and Board.
Draft term sheets with facility descriptions, pricing, covenants, and structuring language.
Identify trends and risks; recommend actions based on data analysis.
Support forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning with modeling.
