Job summary

Aon in Chicago, IL is seeking a Private Client Account Executive to manage day-to-day client relationships and broking for affluent individuals and families. Ideal candidates will hold a Property & Casualty Broker's license, 3–5 years of high-net-worth personal insurance experience, and a relevant degree.

Qualifications

  • Designations such as CPCU, CIC, CPRM, CPRIA, AFIS or ARM completed or in process preferred.
  • 3-5 years of high net-worth personal insurance experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of industry experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manages an assigned book of high-net-worth personal insurance clients with personal portfolios of varying size and complexity.
  • Builds and solidifies relationships with existing and prospective clients; leads resources to address risk needs and retain/grow book.
  • Brokers and maintains required insurance policies and risk management solutions for clients.
  • Conducts annual client reviews ahead of renewal dates.
  • Coordinates client-related billing matters and maintains aged receivables reports.
  • Works with Client Services to process changes and other client requests in a timely manner.
  • Maintains awareness of claim-related matters and assists in negotiations of settlements.
  • Engages internal/external resources to empower results for clients.
  • Aims for revenue growth and retention; supports growth through new business production.

Overview

Aon is looking for a Private Client Account Executive. As part of an industry-leading team, you will handle day-to-day account management and broking of complex personal insurance programs for affluent clients and families, delivering innovative and effective solutions supporting our APRM group. This hybrid position is located in Chicago, IL.

What the day will look like
  • Manages an assigned book of high-net-worth personal insurance clients with personal insurance portfolios of varying size and complexity. May also include Group Excess Liability programs.
  • Build, expand, and solidify relationships with existing clients and prospective clients. Leads appropriate resources to address the client/prospective client's risk needs, thereby retaining and growing a profitable book of business. Promotes the value that Aon delivers to clients through superior service, pricing, consultation, and reporting.
  • Brokers and maintains required insurance policies and risk management solutions on behalf of clients.
  • Conducts annual reviews for clients ahead of key renewal dates.
  • Coordinates all client-related billing matters and maintains aged receivables reports.
  • Works with Client Services team and assigned Coordinator to process changes and other client requests in a timely manner.
  • Maintains awareness of all large and potentially complicated claim-related matters and assists in the negotiation of equitable claim settlements on behalf of clients.
  • Engages internal and external resources as required in order to Empower Results on behalf of our clients.
  • Aches assigned annual revenue growth and retention metrics. Supports growth of book of business through rounding of accounts and through new business production.
  • The time service standard: returning a phone call within 24 hours and responding to email by end of the day.
  • Develops and maintains meaningful working relationships with insurers, clients, referral sources, and colleagues through regular contact and interaction.
  • Maintains awareness of all insurance carrier partner products, services, and systems.
  • Fully utilizes internal client management system to maintain policies, client correspondence, coordinate billing activities, and manage client-related tasks.
  • Achieves assigned transparency, disclosure, and compliance goals and fosters innovative solutions to drive success for our clients.

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $85,000 to $110,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
