Private In-Home Chef (Full-Time Contract)

Austin, TX | Start Date: July 1, 2025 | Duration: 6 or 12 Months

We are seeking an experienced, dependable, and creative Private Chef to provide in-home culinary services for a private household based in Austin, Texas. This is a long-term engagement offering stability, autonomy, and the opportunity to craft tailored culinary experiences in a supportive home environment.

Role Overview:

The private chef will be responsible for planning, preparing, and executing high-quality meals for regular weekly service, with occasional support for dinner parties or small gatherings. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a residential setting, brings creativity to the kitchen, and values clean, consistent execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Curate weekly menus tailored to client preferences and dietary needs
• Source and shop for fresh, high-quality ingredients
• Prepare and serve meals (family-style, plated, or prepped as needed)
• Accommodate dietary restrictions or lifestyle preferences (e.g., gluten-free, organic, low-carb)
• Ensure kitchen cleanliness and proper food storage
• Optional: Wine or cocktail pairings, small event support, cooking lessons

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a private chef, personal chef, or restaurant-level chef
• Culinary training or equivalent experience preferred
• Excellent knowledge of various cuisines, nutritional cooking, and ingredient sourcing
• High level of discretion, professionalism, and cleanliness
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and pass background check
• Reliable transportation to and from the residence
• Comfortable working independently in a residential kitchen
• Based in or willing to relocate to the Austin, TX area

Schedule & Duration:

• Start Date: No later than July 1, 2025
• Commitment: 6 or 12-month contract (based on fit)
• Schedule: Flexible based on meal plan — typically 3–5 days/week
• Occasional evening or weekend service for events, as needed
