Job summary

Deloitte’s Private Capital Tax team in the UK leads on fund structuring, carried interest, and manager incentives for top private equity, real estate, and credit funds. You will advise asset managers and senior leadership, working with global project teams to deliver integrated tax solutions.

As an Associate Director, you’ll mentor junior colleagues, participate in high-profile client engagements, and contribute to the growth of the team while benefiting from Deloitte’s training and advancement

Qualifications

• Awareness/understanding of disguised investment management fee, carried interest and income-based carried interest UK tax legislation is preferred.
• Qualified ACA or ATT/CTA or equivalent qualification and experience.
• Ability to build strong relationships and communicate complex ideas clearly in written and oral form.
• Team player who takes ownership, uses initiative and can work under pressure.
• Experience/knowledge of private equity, credit, real estate, infrastructure or hedge funds and how they operate.
• Strong attention to detail and good tax law understanding.

Responsibilities

• Advise on broad tax issues relating to private capital fund managers across asset classes, including structuring global carried interest and co-investment plans.
• Provide bespoke tax advice on long-term incentives and complex fund investments for fund management staff.
• Advise C-suite clients on succession and business transitions.
• Lead diverse teams within an inclusive culture and collaborate with Deloitte member firms.
• Contribute to the eminence of the Private Capital Tax team through knowledge sharing.
