Job summary

Frost, a Texas-based financial services leader with an over 150-year legacy, seeks a Private Banking Officer II to manage affluent client relationships and collaborate with investments, insurance, and advisors. You will drive tailored financial plans, maintain strong client service, and help grow Frost's private banking footprint.

Seeking a candidate with extensive relationship management experience, a proven sales record, and NMLS licensing readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years in a customer-facing relationship management role, preferably in financial services.
• Working knowledge of financial analysis relating to personal financial statements and tax returns.
• NMLS license or ability to transfer within 60 days.
• Understanding of lending practices and loan servicing for personal finance needs.
• Specialized knowledge of Frost brokerage, investment management, trust, and insurance groups.
• Ability to work with limited supervision.
• Experience managing a portfolio of affluent/high-net-worth clients.
• Proven track record of selling products and services in financial services.
• Outstanding interpersonal, calling, sales, and negotiation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational and customer service skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, retain and expand client relationships within affluent to high-net-worth markets ($1.5–$5M investable assets).
• Generate substantial new business quarterly and build numerous affluent client relationships annually.
• Conduct proactive client outreach and strategic planning for client engagement.
• Monitor client credit relationships by reviewing loan portfolios regularly.
• Identify and recommend products and services matching client needs.
• Collaborate with credit underwriting to support financing.
• Engage in community and professional activities to grow Frost's image and network.
• Build relationships with influencers to source new clients.
• Provide leadership within the private banking team and support a team-based approach.
• Accept special projects for the private banking group.

Who You Are

As a Private Banking Officer II, you will help customers manage their financial lives. Often, our private bankers are a helping hand to families for generations and continue to share their love and knowledge of finance with them. They do so by collaborating with other Frost lines of business, especially investments, insurance, and the customer's other advisors, like attorneys and CPAs, to build a team around the customer. They work with a team to develop tailored plans based on customers' needs and goals.

What You'll Do

• Develop, manage, retain and expand client relationships within the affluent to high net worth markets (clients with $1.5-5 million in investable assets)
• Generate a minimum of $4.5 million in new business per quarter and secure at least 10 new affluent client relationships annually
• Actively make sales calls to clients and prospects. Engage in pre-call/post-call planning and strategy review
• Monitor and manage client's existing credit relationships by reviewing current loan portfolio on a regular basis
• Identify and recommend products and services best suited to meet clients' needs
• Develop and maintain excellent working relationship with credit underwriting team
• Participate in community and professional activities in order to enhance Frost's image and expand personal network of business contacts
• Develop, maintain, and enhance relationships with individuals whose circles of influence include potential new clients
• Provide leadership within the private banking team, while remaining a team player
• Accept special project assignments in support of the private banking group

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of experience in a customer facing relationship management role, preferably within the financial services industry
• Working knowledge of financial analysis relating to personal financial statements and personal income tax returns
• NMLS license; the ability to transfer license to Frost or obtain license within 60 days
• Comprehensive understanding of lending practices and loan servicing requirements for personal finance needs
• Specialized knowledge of client benefits offered by Frost's brokerage, investment management, trust, and insurance groups
• Ability to perform with limited supervision
• Experience in managing a portfolio of affluent and high net worth clients
• Demonstrated capacity to sell products and services within the financial services industry
• Proven record of success in cultivating new relationships
• Outstanding interpersonal, calling, sales, and negotiation skills
• Excellent verbal, written, communication, organizational, and customer service skills
• Proficient in Microsoft computer applications

Additional Preferred Skills

• Series 7, 63, & Group 1 Insurance license (or attainment within 6 months).
• Property and Casualty Insurance license
• Certified Financial Planner designation
• Certified Wealth Strategist designation
• Completion of formal credit training
