Job summary

Thrivent in Minneapolis, MN, United States, is seeking a Private Asset Operations Analyst to support private equity, private debt, and related portfolios with investment, operations, and accounting knowledge. You will provide portfolio and security-level reporting, transactional analysis, investment structure analysis, and regulatory reporting as part of the operations team.

Collaboration with internal and external counsel will be routine.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related degree.
• 0-3 years finance, accounting or investment operations experience.
• Familiarity with private capital markets and hands-on portfolio support.
• Ability and eagerness to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and influence skills among all organizational levels.
• High level of organization and attention to detail.
• Intermediate skills in MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Maintains internal private asset processes, including cash monitoring and movement, structure analysis, investment/derivatives system set-up and tracking, & reporting.
• Engages with Private Asset Operations Senior Analyst regarding transactional activity.
• Assists the process for NAIC SVO regulatory reporting/filing process for private debt.
• Assists in bringing industry best practices and internal requirements to administrative vendor and custodial relationships.
• Engages regularly with internal and external legal counsel regarding investment and fund legal issues.
• Ensures timely and accurate data entry across internal systems.
• Assists with annual audit and tax requests.
