Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Privacy Specialist to join the Regulation Technology and Assurance (RTA) team. The role focuses on defining control requirements and policy for core compliance programs, coordinating with senior business, technology, legal, and public policy leaders to drive high-judgment decisions.

You will collaborate with TPMs/PMTs to design solutions for Amazon-scale privacy challenges, balance risk with customer experience, and influence product roadmaps across multiple regions.

Qualifications

• Experience in risk management methodologies and process improvement initiatives.
• Experience solving complex problems quantitatively and develop actionable data-driven business recommendations.
• Experience influencing multiple stakeholders and leading cross functional teams across geographies and business units.
• 5+ years of experience in privacy, regulatory, or risk and compliance roles.
• Working knowledge of GDPR, ePrivacy Directive, DMA & DSA, US state privacy laws and/or other relevant legislation.
• Experience operationalizing and/or managing global regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Define the compliance bar for one or more Privacy compliance programs.
• Document existing technical and non-technical controls and provide requirements to support mature compliance programs and governance.
• Partner with TPMs and PMTs to produce viable technical solutions to Amazon-scale compliance challenges.
• Guide leadership in balancing risk management concerns and customer experience while contributing to product roadmaps.
• Drive process improvement and contribute to control implementation projects in coordination with other teams.
• Apply a working knowledge of global data privacy to articulate customer/control impact.
• Follow developments of privacy laws and regulatory guidance to identify trends and protect customer trust.
