Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Privacy Solution Architect in Plano, TX to design scalable privacy platforms, manage consent and data governance, and guide MVP development for regulatory compliance across regions.

You will collaborate with business, privacy, research, and quality teams, translate requirements into technical plans, and define architectures for mobile apps, connected products, and web portals in a global deployment context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IS/SE or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 5+ years in solution architecture, privacy engineering or related roles.
• 5+ years in privacy, consent management, data governance, or compliance solutions.
• 3+ years leading MVP or PoC development and turning requirements into concrete solutions.
• Strong knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, APPI and regional privacy requirements.
• Experience designing architectures for mobile apps, connected products, portals or IoT.
• Proven ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders to shape privacy strategy.
• Experience in build‑vs‑buy evaluation for privacy technology.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with various stakeholders from business, privacy, research, and quality department to refine requirements and translate high-level requirements into a practical implementation plan.
• Develop the target-state architecture for privacy platform, including management of consent, privacy rights, data governance, and various regional regulatory compliance capabilities.
• Lead development of an MVP/Proof of Concept to validate technical feasibility, user experience, and compliance objectives.
• Define scalable architecture patterns supporting mobile application, connected vehicles, customer portals, and future global deployment.
• Provide privacy engineering expertise, industry best practices, and recommendations for build‑vs‑buy decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Privacy, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in solution architecture, privacy engineering, enterprise architecture, technical consulting, or related roles.
• 5+ years of experience designing and implementing privacy, consent management, data governance, or regulatory compliance solutions.
• 3+ years of experience leading MVP or proof-of-concept development and translating high-level requirements into practical technical solutions.
• Strong knowledge of global privacy regulations and frameworks, including GDPR, CCPA, APPI, and related regional privacy requirements.
• Experience defining scalable architecture patterns for mobile applications, connected products, customer portals, digital platforms, or IoT ecosystems.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with business, privacy, research, and quality stakeholders to refine requirements and shape technical strategy.
• Proven experience evaluating build‑vs‑buy options and recommending fit‑for‑purpose privacy technology solutions.
• Ability to produce target‑state architectures, technical designs, implementation plans, and roadmap recommendations.
• Experience in automotive, connected vehicle, or other customer data‑driven environments is highly preferred.
• Relevant certifications such as IAPP CIPP/E, CIPP/US, CIPM, CIPT, TOGAF, or cloud/security architecture credentials are a plus.
