Job summary

Apple is seeking a Privacy Engineer to guide privacy across core applications and platforms, including Wallet, Mail, and Safari. You will review features for privacy exposures, design mitigations, and audit data collection practices to enhance user privacy across multiple products.

You will communicate privacy risks to senior leadership, collaborate with experts in web browsing and digital payments, and help build privacy-preserving architectures within Apple’s ecosystem.

Qualifications

• BSCS or equivalent experience.
• Experience with cryptography and its use for end-to-end encrypting data or anonymizing users.
• Experience with differential privacy or private federated learning.
• Programming experience.

Responsibilities

• Review features to identify privacy exposures and design mitigations.
• Audit new products to identify bugs in development and review data collected by engineering teams.
• Communicate privacy risks and mitigations to senior leadership to drive decisions.
• Review data collection requests and systems that enable product improvement while preserving privacy.
• Partner with technical experts to build privacy-preserving features and technologies.
