Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years PQE, with a minimum of 4 years at a nationally-recognised law firm.
• Extensive experience in data privacy and commercial contracts.

Job description

Reporting into the General Counsel, you will play an integral role in the day-to-day activities of the Legal function including:

• Acting as the key point of contact with data privacy queries across the business
• Drafting, negotiating and advising on data privacy clauses for a wide range of commercial agreements
• Working closely with teams across the business including procurement, marketing and sales to advise on minimising privacy risk incidents
• Advising on the handling of DSARs
• Getting involved in matters away from data privacy, in particular advising on contracts relating to platforms, IP licences, T&Cs, SLAs and partnerships

You must be at least 7 years' PQE and having spent at least four years post-qualification at a nationally-recognised law firm. You will possess extensive data privacy experience but also have a background in general commercial contracts. You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with constantly evolving priorities.
