Responsibilities

The incumbent will collaborate with the Mayo Clinic Privacy team to ensure compliance with privacy laws including HIPAA, HITECH, FERPA, and others. Responsibilities include conducting audits, managing privacy investigations, responding to inquiries, analyzing access patterns, training staff, and investigating privacy breaches. The role requires some travel and is fully remote within the US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years' experience in compliance, privacy, or related fields. Master’s or JD preferred.
• Strong confidentiality, healthcare privacy knowledge, audit skills, and proficiency in MS Office.
• Effective communicator and team player.

Certifications (Preferred)

CHC, CHPC, CFE, HCISPP, CISSP, CIPP, CHPS.

Additional Details

• Exempt position, salary range: $78,603.20 - $110,052.80/year.
• Full-time, 80 hours/pay period, Monday-Friday, 8 am - 5 pm.
• Location: Remote (US-based), no sponsorship.
