Job summary

R1 RCM Inc. is seeking a Privacy Analyst to join our privacy team. The role focuses on health information privacy (HIPAA), regulatory analysis, and compliance investigations to safeguard PHI and support enterprise privacy programs.

You will assess incidents, monitor compliance across federal and state requirements, develop metrics, and collaborate with multiple teams to drive continuous privacy improvements and risk reduction in a healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree is required.
• At least two years of compliance experience, including data/privacy in healthcare.
• Excellent project management skills.
• Ability to think strategically and analyze complex compliance issues.
• Strong research, writing and communication abilities.
• High integrity, independence and discretion with confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Receive, document, investigate, and take action on privacy-related data incidents.
• Ensure consistent sanctions for privacy-policy violations with HR and legal.
• Develop privacy metrics and reporting for incidents.
• Remediate privacy and compliance improvements across internal teams.
• Support proactive privacy compliance across federal, state, and international requirements.
• Assist in annual compliance and risk assessments.
• Maintain focus on data protection to improve quality and customer satisfaction.
• Support development of the Compliance & Ethics Program.
• Collaborate with service lines, management, clients, and vendors.
• Flexibly assist in other privacy-related areas.
