What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Manage investigation, documentation, and notification activities for potential privacy incidents or breaches
- Conduct extensive research and analysis concerning privacy laws and regulations
- Complete privacy reviews of project documentation and agreements to ensure compliance
- Oversee the DES privacy mailbox, providing guidance and coordinating responses to privacy incidents
- Track and evaluate privacy metrics to identify trends and recommend process improvements
What is Required (Qualifications)
- Minimum of two years of experience coordinating and handling government records
- Three years of management analysis experience or five years of relevant experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field may substitute for some experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage complex tasks under tight deadlines
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Experience with Federal and State privacy laws such as HIPAA and FERPA
- Proven skills in data analysis and process improvement methodologies
- Familiarity with conducting privacy awareness training sessions
- Background in managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective workplace relationships
