Job summary

PrimeCare Medical, Inc. is seeking an Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor to work in the Lancaster County Prison medical department in Lancaster, PA. This full-time role operates Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, and requires CADC/CAADC or licensed clinician credentials.

The D&A Counselor will monitor and coordinate MAT per standards, serving as a liaison between medical unit and facility staff. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s or Master’s in a related field and at least one year of clinical

Qualifications

• Must be CADC OR CAADC and/or Licensed Clinician (LSW/LCSW or LPC)
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a related Human Services field with mental health coursework
• Minimum one year of clinical experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Monitor, coordinate and implement MAT per NCCHC/ACA Standards and PCM policies
• Serve as MAT liaison between medical unit and facility staff
• Engage inmates/patients in therapeutic interventions for substance abuse
• Assist with suicide prevention and risk assessment
• Document treatment responses and progress
• Facilitate group and individual MAT sessions
• Participate in discharge planning and interdisciplinary team meetings
• Maintain confidentiality and manage credentialing information
