What we are looking for:

A driven and mission-focused Prison Ministry Manager residing in the Kern, LA, or Riverside County area to equip and mobilize local churches to identify and meet the needs of prisoners and their families.

Expectations of the role:

This key role covering the Los Angeles area will build, maintain, and enhance relationships with church-based volunteers, pastors, DOC staff, prison chaplains, etc. You will develop, manage, and coach teams of volunteers to meet ministry goals while promoting teamwork and personal spiritual development.

Qualifications:
  • Maintain an active relationship with Jesus Christ and support the ministry through prayer and actions
  • 2+ years of sales and territory management
  • 2+ years of experience building effective teams
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • Strong demonstrated ability to develop personal networking relationships
  • Intermediate computer skills including ability to learn new technology
  • Knowledge and application of fundraising
  • Demonstrated competency in collaboration, humility, perseverance, adaptability
  • Ability to work from a home office with minimal supervision and function in a regional team
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-racially, cross-culturally, and cross-denominationally
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • This is a remote position with a 60% travel component, mostly within the region, subject to driving record and insurance requirements
  • Candidate must reside in Los Angeles (ideally Kern, LA, or Riverside County) to adequately cover the territory

Salary ranges from $61,000 to $71,000, determined by various factors.
