Job summary

Salt Lake Community College invites applications for the Coordinator of Reentry and Student Success in our Prison Education program. The role supports students during incarceration and post-release, coordinates learning resources, and partners with the Department of Corrections to ensure a smooth transition to campus life.

The position emphasizes building a community of learning, maintaining contact with students, organizing events, and providing on-site support in collaboration with SLCC staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; must pass background check.
• 1–4 years of direct full-time experience in Higher Education.
• Experience in a carceral or prison setting preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to students during incarceration and after release.
• Maintain contact with PEP students and help them navigate the college experience.
• Assist with retention efforts for Prison Education Program students.
• Assist with development of academic plans with the Assistant Director.
• Coordinate events and resources with SLCC staff and corrections.
• Distribute and maintain PEP electronic and physical assets for student use.
