Job description

Two Barrels is hiring an SEO Manager. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position with company benefits. You’ll be a traditional company employee—no weird contracts, no endless client meetings, no chasing down invoices.

We’re looking for someone who lives and breathes SEO—someone who gets way too excited about ranking shifts, algorithm updates, and why some random blog post from 2012 is outranking our perfectly optimized page. If you know how to blend technical SEO, content strategy, and data analysis into a well-oiled machine, we want to hear from you.

Location:

Remote | Spokane, WA | Salt Lake City, UT | Austin, TX

Duration:

Full Time

Wage:

$100,000 - $120,000/year

Responsibilities:
  • Own our SEO strategy— coordinate with director and stakeholders on high-level direction to ensure nitty-gritty execution.
  • Optimize everything—use your team to make sure everything is optimized: website structure, internal linking, content strategy, metadata, and more.
  • Track and analyze rankings, traffic, and conversion data: build your individual contributions to be able to make data-driven decisions.
  • Stay ahead of Google’s algorithm updates so we don’t wake up to a traffic disaster.
  • Collaborate with content creators to ensure our pages are optimized without sounding like robots wrote them and help our product teams hum.
  • Conduct competitor analysis to figure out why someone else is beating us and what we can do about it.
  • Improve our technical SEO—crawlability, indexation, site speed, schema markup, and all that fun stuff.
  • Ensure team monitors backlinks and disavows the junk.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of hands-on SEO experience.
  • Team lead experience.
  • Proven success driving organic traffic growth.
  • Deep knowledge of Google Analytics, Search Console, and SEO tools like Ahrefs and Screaming Frog.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and fix technical SEO issues and point people in the right direction.
  • Strong understanding of content strategy and search intent—not just stuffing keywords.
  • Experience with local SEO, structured data, and mobile optimization.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the Domain Registrar industry (or willingness to deep dive into it).
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for SEO-related tweaks.
  • Understanding of CRO and UX principles—because SEO is about more than just rankings.
Why you might like this job:

You obsess over rankings and think SEO is a game you’re determined to win.

You hate SEO myths and guru nonsense—you want real strategies that actually work.

You love digging into data, spotting trends, and making decisions based on facts, not guesses.

You get a weird sense of satisfaction when a title tag tweak moves a page up one spot.

Benefits:
  • Great Wage & Success Meetings with your manager.
  • Work From Home comfort package & company provided equipment.
  • 22 days paid time off annually, PLUS 4 paid holidays.
  • Up to 5% 401k employer matching through Fidelity.
  • 100% employer-paid medical, dental and vision for employees.
  • Maternity and Paternity Leave.
  • Flexible hours.
  • Coffee shop next door.
  • Cool downtown location for easy public transportation options.
