Job description

Rudolf Steiner School seeks an Early Childhood Coordinator for the 2025-26 school year. Strong candidates for the Early Childhood Coordinator position will be experienced Early Childhood Educators with at least 5 years experience as a Lead Teacher and have completed a Waldorf Early Childhood Certification program.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include:

  • Coordinate the Early Childhood program, teacher schedules, and curriculum
  • Participate in Enrollment events including tours, open houses, and interviews
  • Communicate with parents regularly
  • Facilitate community education events as related to Early Childhood
  • Work closely and collaboratively with the Lower School Chair
  • Coordinate mentor and evaluator visits
  • Support conversations between colleagues and parents
  • Regular communication with colleagues, and parents
  • Participation in school life including faculty meetings, evening events for current and prospective parents, special school events, and more

QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Completion of Bachelor’s degree, Master’s preferred
  • Waldorf Early Childhood Certification
  • 5-10 years Experience in Waldorf Education with at least 5 years leading a Waldorf Early Childhood Classroom
  • Commitment to professional growth including further education in Waldorf teaching
  • Versatility, enthusiasm, punctuality, creativity
  • An ability to collaborate with colleagues, communicate effectively with parents, and show positivity in the workplace
  • Commitment to working with the principles of Waldorf Education including human diversity and dignity
