Job summary

Nmble LLC in Central Florida seeks an Insurance Coordinator to secure prior authorizations and manage benefits verification, ensuring procedures are covered before they occur. You will work with the clinical team and handle inquiries with empathy.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in a physician-practice setting, solid CPT/ICD-10 knowledge, and a calm, organized approach to time-sensitive requests. Epic EMR experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of insurance authorization or verification experience in a physician practice, specialty clinic or surgical setting.
• Working knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding and payer authorization requirements.
• Comfort managing a high volume of time-sensitive requests with little supervision.
• Clear, professional verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Obtain prior authorizations for procedures across commercial, Medicare and Medicaid plans.
• Verify eligibility and explain coverage and patient responsibility in plain terms.
• Review CPT and ICD-10 codes against payer requirements before submission.
• Track payer rules, medical-necessity criteria and documentation requirements.
• Follow up on pending and denied authorizations, including appeals.
