A leading company in IT Services is seeking a Tech I to assist in the prior authorization process for healthcare providers. The role involves inbound calls, documentation of reviews, and communication with pharmacists. Candidates must have a high school diploma, experience in customer service, and a valid Pharm Tech license.

Est. Pay Range: $15.00/hour – $20.00/hour on W2 (USD)
Location: Remote
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 11am - 11pm CST (multiple shifts; client will determine shifts after training; candidates can bid on their preferred shift)
Preference: PST
Duties:
The Tech I Prior Auth handles inbound calls from providers, pharmacies, members, etc., providing professional and courteous assistance through the prior authorization process. Maintains complete, timely, and accurate documentation of reviews. Transfers clinical questions, escalations, and judgment calls to the pharmacist team.
Additional duties may include outbound calls, reviewing and processing Prior Auths received via fax and ePA, monitoring and responding to inquiries via department mailboxes, and other tasks as assigned by leadership.
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year experience in a high-volume customer service call center, preferably in healthcare or social services.
Active unencumbered Pharm Tech license required in the state of residence.
Position Summary:
This role involves handling incoming calls from members, providers, etc., providing assistance through the prior authorization process, documenting approvals and denials, and transferring clinical questions to pharmacists.
Education:
Verifiable High School diploma or GED required.
Active unencumbered Pharm Tech license required in the state of residence.
