As a Prior Authorization Nurse, you will be responsible for reviewing and approving requests for medical services. You will work with providers, patients, and insurance companies to ensure that patients receive the care they need, when they need it. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing new processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our prior authorization program.

Qualifications

• Active LVN/RN California Nursing License Required
• At least 1+ year of prior authorization/utilization management experience required
• Must have experience working in a health plan, hospital, or medical group setting
• Typing 60 words per minute with accuracy
• Knowledge of computers, faxes, printers, and all other equipment
• Proficient in MS Office programs (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, and Power Point)
• Ability to deal with responsibility with confidential matters
• Ability to work in a multi-task, high stress environment
