Valdosta State University is seeking a Lecturer in Printmaking to begin August 1, 2027. This full-time, non-tenure track position will teach printmaking and foundations, maintaining studio spaces and equipment.

Qualifications

  • Terminal degree (M.F.A.) in printmaking or related field by appointment date.
  • Ability to teach a variety of printmaking techniques.
  • Ability to operate and maintain printmaking equipment and facilities.
  • Understanding industry standards, safety practices, and protocols.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative setting.
  • A record of effective teaching.
  • Ability to work with all levels of undergraduate students.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the printmaking tools and studio, and steward shared teaching and studio spaces.
  • Engage in student mentoring, recruitment, course management, and community engagement.
  • Lecturers are responsible for service at department, college, and university levels.
