Summary of Position

Learn and work in a real life print environment in our campus printing facility. Here we serve our campus and public customers. You will work in bindery, delivery, and other printing operations across multiple locations
Position open to those with or without work study funds.

Position Requirements

• Students need no prior experience in a printing environment but experience is helpful
• Operates a university or personal vehicle safely while carrying out job responsibilities. As an individual responsible for driving on behalf of the University, a driving record check will be run pursuant to university policies. The individual will be required to complete an authorization form to run a criminal history background check and driving record check
• Great attitude and desire to learn new things, interact with customers and co-workers positively
• Dependability, lifting over 50 pounds, organization skills, reading job ticket instructions, problem solving, thinking logically, ability to read a ruler, do standard math, understand fractions and decimals.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Learning basic bindery processes and perform them such as folding, laminating, mechanical binding, paper drilling, operating paper cutter, tab sealing, packaging, large format trimming and mounting, apparel decoration, etc.
• Keep proper records interacting with the computer system as needed
• Ensure all records and communications to other team members is sound for consistent and accurate workflow on a timely basis
• Keep work area neat and organized
• Learning to work on group projects together
• Advancement available as skills and aptitude increases
• Operates University motor vehicles safely to deliver print items to campus customers
