Printing Production Technician

Description:

Position Title: Printing Press Helper

Pay Rate: $24.21/hr. up to $28.02/hr.

Category/Shift: Hourly Full-Time

Customized rotating shift (12-hour shifts, switching between nights and days, 3-4 days on/off, one 7-day off period per month), requiring two weekends and holiday work.

Physical Location: Indianapolis Preprint, 7536 Miles Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46531-3344

The Job You Will Perform:

1. Counting and stacking finished product
2. Reading factory orders
3. Reading gauges and test equipment accurately
4. Utilizing basic shop math and inspecting products
5. Completing quality and administrative documents following instructions
6. Working in rewind, unwind, inks, and material handling areas
7. Cleaning functions such as blowing down machines, wiping shafts, cleaning ink systems, vacuuming, sweeping, and scrap disposal

The Skills You Will Bring:

• Reliable work history, good attendance, positive attitude, and teamwork orientation
• Manufacturing experience is a plus
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
• Ability to read a tape measure and understand job specifications
• Adherence to safety protocols, including PPE and lockout/tagout procedures
• Basic math skills for measurement and data recording
• Basic computer skills; knowledge of Word and Excel is advantageous
• Willingness to work weekends and overtime as needed
