The Press Operator is an essential member of the team, responsible for manufacturing printed labels while continuously monitoring label quality and press conditions.

Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all plant and corporate safety rules, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Report safety concerns or issues to immediate supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment through daily housekeeping.
  • Complete make-ready in accordance with the Job Ticket and Product Specification documents, ensuring correct print cylinders, inks, substrates, tooling, and anilox rollers are used.
  • Perform all required quality checks related to product specifications, including visual and functional inspections, and complete all press-side quality checks.
  • Operate press to produce products according to customer specifications while maintaining quality, minimizing waste, and ensuring press efficiency.
  • Maintain consistent quality during production, including critical checks such as copy, color, registration, and ink adhesion, ensuring conformance to all quality standards.
  • Complete all procedures, work instructions, and quality measurements as outlined in the BRC standard.
  • Perform press make-ready efficiently.
  • Carry out all related equipment maintenance duties.
  • Clean plates, cylinders, ink pans, and lubricate press as needed.
  • Input all required information into the Radius system accurately and promptly regarding material usage and time.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 1 year of experience and/or training as a printing press operator.
  • Physical demands include standing, feeling, touching, reaching, talking, and hearing.
  • Frequent walking required.
  • Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Ability to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
