Job description

Join to apply for the Printing - Material Handler (1st Shift) role at Polytainers Inc.

Reporting to the Printing Shift Supervisor, the Material Handler in the Printing Department is responsible for ensuring molded product is transported from the warehouse staging area to the correct machine on time. The role also involves removing finished products and loading them onto the wrapping machine, unloading raw materials from pallets, and neatly stacking finished products back on pallets. A qualified Material Handler will be skilled in these responsibilities but may only perform some at a time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain walkie and conduct daily checks with proper logging.
• Physically move molded products from warehouse to printing machines, ensuring accurate scanning in the LX system.
• Unload molded products and load printed products onto skids following designated routes.
• Transport finished printed products to the warehouse wrapper area and load onto the wrapper, ensuring accurate scanning.
• Remove rag barrels from machine areas to the warehouse staging area for transportation.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities and training.
• Perform housekeeping and 5S duties, and conduct quality checks on outgoing pallets.
• Respond to Andon Lights and perform line clearance.
• Escalate equipment maintenance issues.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or managers.

Skills and Experience Required:

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience handling electric walkie pallet trucks.
• Valid training certification for electric walkie pallet trucks.
• Fluent in English with good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in an air-conditioned environment and wear protective equipment as needed.
