Job summary

Greif, a global packaging leader, is hiring for a Printer Operator in Kernersville, NC. You will operate routine production machinery, monitor quality, and perform basic maintenance while keeping logs and maintaining safety standards.

The role requires up to 2 years of related experience and a high school diploma or equivalent, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a labor-intensive environment. A competitive benefits package is offered.

Responsibilities

• Operates routine production machinery in accordance with prints and specifications provided.
• Carry out routine activities that produces the required quantity of parts within established specifications and tolerances.
• Experience operating Flexo presses, Mark Andy 2200 preferred.
• Experience with UV and water based inks.
• Must multi-task – productively run multiple print stations while maintaining quality and efficiency.
• Perform periodic quality checks to ensure compliance to specifications and/or COAs.
• Measures finished parts with precision tools, ensuring compliance with function, quality, and cosmetic specifications.
• Maintains logs and records of units produced. Report any errors resulting in rejected or discarded pieces.
• Inspects equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment; performs basic and routine adjustments and maintenance.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
• Follow safety regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned, including assisting on production lines as needed.

Job Description

• Operates routine production machinery in accordance with prints and specifications provided.

Education and Experience

• Ability to interpret and translate job specifications/ work orders.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively.
• Able to work in a labor-intensive position. Lifting, standing, bending, twisting and stooping for up to 12 hours per day.

Compensation Range:

The pay range for this position is $17.55 - $28.03annually. Typically, a competitive wage for new hires will fall between20.76 to20.76. Offers for this position may vary based on market data and other factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. If the competitive wage is equal in both fields, the starting rate is the same for all applicants that apply for this role. The starting rate is not representative of future compensation increases. The position may also be eligible for a short-term incentive.
