Job summary

Greif is seeking a Machine Operator for the 2nd shift in Texas. You will operate production machinery, follow prints, and help maintain quality to meet daily targets.

Typically requires a high school diploma and up to 2 years of relevant experience; ability to interpret specifications and learn equipment is essential. The role emphasizes safety and teamwork in a global packaging company.

Responsibilities

• Operate routine production machinery per prints and specs.
• Carry out routine activities to meet quantity targets within tolerances.
• Measure finished parts with precision tools and log results.
• Maintain logs/records of units produced and report rejects.
• Inspect equipment prior to use and perform basic adjustments.
• Keep a clean, safe, and orderly work area; follow safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description

2nd Shift: Monday - Friday, 2:45PM - 11PM

Key Responsibilities

• Operates routine production machinery in accordance with prints and specifications provided.
• Carry out routine activities that produces the required quantity of parts within established specifications and tolerances.
• Measures finished parts with precision tools, ensuring compliance with function, quality, and cosmetic specifications.
• Maintains logs and records of units produced. Report any errors resulting in rejected or discarded pieces.
• Inspects equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment; performs basic and routine adjustments and maintenance.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
• Follow safety regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education And Experience

• Typically possesses a high school diploma (or equivalent) and up to 2 years of relevant experience.

Knowledge And Skills

• Willingness to follow directions and work well in a team.
• Ability to interpret and translate job specifications for production machineries.
• Fundamental understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment.

Compensation Range

The pay range for this position is $15.82 - $25.24annually. Typically, a competitive wage for new hires will fall between16.44 to16.44. Offers for this position may vary based on market data and other factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. If the competitive wage is equal in both fields, the starting rate is the same for all applicants that apply for this role. The starting rate is not representative of future compensation increases. The position may also be eligible for a short-term incentive.
