The Imagine Group in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Sr. Bindery Operator to run folding, stitching, collating and cutting with a sharp focus on quality and on‑time production.

The role involves setting up machines, training operators, and working with leads to troubleshoot while maintaining safe, efficient operation during the 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required, with 4+ years in the industry or 520 hours as Imagine temp.
• Strong math and measurement skills are essential.
• Ability to follow instructions, read job tickets and operate equipment.

Responsabilités

• Set-up and adjust machines.
• Load machine, observe operation and match samples to job order specs.
• Review job ticket for specs or special instructions.
• Continuously monitor quality to meet specs.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Complete production records accurately.
• Track job costs and production hours as needed.
• Train Operators as needed.
• Work overtime as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

Performs manual and machine operator tasks related to the operation of bindery machines, continuously meeting/exceeding productivity and quality standards, and completing within budget and on time. At a Sr. level, the operator will act as a resource to Operators and assist leads in trouble shooting. May assist in training others and operate multiple machines.The Sr Operator, Bindery may operate multiple machines in the following areas: Folding, Stitching, Collating, Cutting.

Shift: 2:30 PM - 10:30 PM

Job Description:

• Set-up and adjust machines.
• Load machine, observe operation and match samples to job order specifications.
• Review job ticket for specifications or special instructions that may impact the operation or set-up of the machine.
• Continuously review the quality of the product during operation to meet specified job requirements.
• Performs preventative maintenance to equipment.
• Completes production records.
• Track job costs/production hours as applicable.
• Train Operators as needed.
• Works overtime as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications of Position:

• High school diploma or equivalent, four plus years of relevant industry experience or 520 hours as an Imagine temporary employee along with manager approval to hire full-time.

Preferred Qualifications of Position:

• Previous bindery experience preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Ability to communicate/understand basic written and verbal instructions.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and measurement.
• Basic computer skills including email, basic mouse, keyboard, and menu navigation.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

• Frequent walking and standing.
• Ability to visually inspect all work for defects and distinguish colors.
• Manual dexterity for repetitive work.
• Frequent reaching, bending, climbing, kneeling, crouching, and stooping.

• Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds.
