Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Production Operator, Manufacturing is responsible for performing various functions within the center, including operating equipment, moving boxes and equipment, using computers, filling out forms, sorting papers, following supervisor instructions, and communicating effectively with team members in both Digital and Signs & Graphics environments. The role primarily involves producing S&G print/finish orders according to customer specifications and maintaining the digital production area and equipment.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Process and produce Digital and Signs & Graphics print/finish orders as directed.
2. Operate printers, binding, and auxiliary equipment.
3. Set up, operate, and perform routine maintenance on equipment.
4. Maintain equipment and supplies, including cleaning and repairs.
5. Provide customer service and problem-solving with minimal supervision.
6. Produce work following LEAN manufacturing principles for quality and timeliness.
7. Follow supervisor instructions and assist team members.
8. Maintain work area according to 5S standards.
9. Perform other duties as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6+ months of related experience preferred.
• Experience with FXO products & services preferred.
• Experience in a commercial print environment preferred.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Stand during entire shift, excluding breaks.
• Lift and move up to 55 pounds.
• Bend and twist at the waist and knees regularly.
• Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and team members.
• Work cooperatively and follow instructions.
• Perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain attention and concentration for extended periods.
• Work with minimal supervision.
• Regularly report to work and maintain business hours to support FedEx Office operations.
