Job summary

Quad/Graphics is hiring Operators in Training in Sussex, Wisconsin. You will learn the printing process from the ground up and assist in creating magazines, catalogs and inserts in press or finishing areas. Wage range is $18-$22/hr, with 12-hour rotating shifts (days and nights) 3–4 days per week.

Responsibilities include handling product from press, stacking on pallets, moving with lift equipment, and following safety and quality procedures while collaborating with the team.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Printing, factory, or other mechanical work experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read measurements.
• Ability to read, understand and follow instructions.
• Ability to use a computer/touch screens.
• Ability to lift stacks of end boards or banding strap rolls (30–60 lbs).
• Ability to handle 5–75 lb weights and move them to work surfaces.

Responsibilities

• Remove product from the end of the printing press or finishing machine.
• Stack products onto pallets, transfer to tables and into a collator hopper or mail bags.
• Move product with hand jack, lift, or forklift (training provided).
• Follow quality, safety, and work rules; communicate with team members.
• Assist with webbing up the press and other duties to meet customer requests.
• Follow clean-up and housekeeping procedures.
