Overview

The Flexographic Press Operator is responsible for setting up and operating flexographic printing presses to print designs or lettering on rolls of flexible plastic film, paper, and nonabsorbent stock. This position is for 2nd shift.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret job orders, identify errors, and set up equipment accordingly.
• Facilitate the print press process from start to finish.
• Change plates and/or materials between orders.
• Maintain quality through all required Quality Control inspections.
• Clean machines according to specifications.
• Perform light maintenance, manage supply inventory, and handle purchasing as needed.
• Operate Material Handling Equipment (Powered Industrial Trucks) safely to stage materials.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• Experience operating flexographic or similar printers in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to read measurements in standard and metric units.
• Decision-making skills regarding resource utilization.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong technical aptitude in manufacturing.

Education Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One-year certificate from college or technical school, or 3-6 months related experience, or equivalent combination preferred.
