Job summary

RRD in Smyrna, Tennessee, is seeking a Press Assistant to join our print production team. You will help prepare presses, verify specs, and support ongoing runs in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment.

You will work closely with press operators, assist with maintenance, ensure safety policies are followed, and help mentor new employees while upholding ISO quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a printing environment preferred.
• Experience using hand tools is preferred.
• Ability to work in a team and follow policies.
• Experience mentoring new employees.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the press for a run by verifying specs and setup.
• Inspect fountain solution, inking systems, rolls and reels mechanisms.
• Maintain paper inventory and record usage/spoilage on SPC report.
• Ensure proper unwrapping, mounting and splicing of paper rolls.
• Support maintenance in troubleshooting and repairs to presses.
• Follow ISO Quality Manual and safety policies.
