Job summary

RRD is seeking a Pre-Press Technician based in Smyrna, Tennessee, responsible for reviewing client files for print jobs and preparing them for manufacturing. The role requires proficiency in graphic design software and a good understanding of digital formats.

The salary range is between $18.17 and $27.80 per hour, with benefits including medical coverage and 401(k) matching. The ideal candidate will have mechanical skills for equipment maintenance and the ability to mentor team members.

Qualifications

• Ability to work with various graphic design software applications on Mac's and PC's.
• Good understanding of digital file formats (pdf, tiff, eps).
• Basic color management skills required.
• Understanding of the offset printing process.

Responsibilities

• Review electronic files for completeness before plate making.
• Manipulate print job formats using desktop publishing software.
• Create manufacturing proofs used by Press and Bind operators.
• Train and mentor new and existing employees.
