Job summary

Avery Dennison in Charlotte, NC seeks an on-site Equipment Operator for the Night Shift to run label machines and meet production deadlines. Schedule: 7 PM–6:30 AM Sun–Tue and 6:30 PM–3:00 AM Wed; pay is $20/hr plus a shift differential.

Requires High School diploma or GED and 1–2 years of related experience. You will log time and materials in the ERP system, maintain equipment, keep a clean, safe workspace, and may work OT or another shift as needed.

• Strong mechanical skills to operate label machine equipment.

Responsibilities

Job Description

This role will be on Front End Night Shift, 7PM-6:30AM SUN-TUES 6:30PM-3:00AM WED.

The hourly rate for this role is $20/hr with a shift differential

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities

• Operates the label machines properly and efficiently in order to meet production deadlines according to the daily job schedule.
• Minimize waste or misuse of raw materials.
• Communicates label production issues with the Production Supervisor and/or Facility Manager
• Performs distribution functions as needed.
• Keeps accurate log of raw materials used in the production of labels. Logs date and ID number of cartons of product to maintain a FIFO inventory and to identify any QC problems with raw materials.
• Uses ERP system to log time and materials for each job.
• Responsible for maintenance of all dies.
• Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work area, uses required PPE, and follows all safety rules and procedures.
• May be required to work overtime or on another shift as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
• Regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
• Compliance with applicable Company policies concerning maintaining a drug free workplace is required.
• Compliance with all Company policies is required including all safety policies and procedures.
