Job summary

FanDuel is seeking a Principal UI Designer, Sportsbook, to define and elevate the visual language of our Sportsbook experience. You will champion the evolution of visual and interaction language, ensuring experiences feel intuitive, premium and distinctly FanDuel.

Collaborating with Product Design, Engineering and Brand, you will establish visual direction, system principles, motion, and AI-assisted workflows across iOS, Android and Web—driving design craft and measurable customer value.

Qualifications

• Exceptional visual design portfolio demonstrating world-class digital product craft.
• Deep expertise in typography, layout, hierarchy, color, interaction design, motion design and visual storytelling.
• Deep understanding of modern platform conventions, interaction models, motion systems and contemporary UI patterns across iOS, Android and Web.
• Experience defining scalable visual systems, reusable interaction patterns and design frameworks used across large product ecosystems.
• Outstanding ability to balance brand expression, usability and business objectives.
• Proven ability to define visual direction that shapes the work of other designers and elevates product quality at scale.
• Demonstrated influence across multiple teams and senior stakeholders without formal management responsibility.
• Experience partnering closely with engineering to achieve exceptional implementation quality and production craftsmanship.
• Strong understanding of AI-assisted design workflows and how AI can enhance design judgement, creativity and customer-centered thinking.
• Proven ability to coach designers and raise craft standards through mentorship and critique.
• Recognized for exceptional craft judgement and a clear design point of view.

• Champion accessibility and inclusive design without compromising craft, personality or brand expression.
• Explore emerging interaction models and AI-capable workflows to unlock new customer experiences.
• Lead rapid concept exploration to imagine ambitious customer experiences before constraints.
• Establish AI-assisted design workflows that improve quality, consistency and speed.
• Coach designers through critique, pairing, workshops and hands-on craft leadership.
• Influence engineering implementation to reflect design intent and build reusable libraries and templates.
• Represent Product Design in executive discussions where visual quality is central to strategy.

As Principal UI Designer, Sportsbook, you will define and elevate the visual language of FanDuel's Sportsbook experience You will champion the evolution of FanDuel's visual and interaction language, ensuring every experience feels intuitive, premium, emotionally engaging and distinctly FanDuel.

Working across multiple product teams, you will partner with Product Design, Engineering and Brand to establish the visual direction of our experiences - from interaction design and motion through to design systems, emerging platform capabilities and AI-assisted workflows.

This is an individual contributor leadership role. Your impact is measured not by the work you produce yourself, but by the quality of every experience influenced by your vision, guidance and standards.

The applicable salary range for this position is $148,000 - $203,500 USD, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
