Job Description

Renal Denervation (RDN) is an innovative procedure that helps patients lower blood pressure by targeting specific nerves near the kidneys that can become overactive and cause hypertension. High blood pressure affects a significant portion of adults worldwide.

We are hiring a field-based Principle Field Market Development Specialist to join our RDN Field Market Development Team. This role involves shaping and leading local market development by supporting the hypertension (HTN) patient journey to ensure access to therapy.

As a Principle Field Market Development Specialist, you will play a key role in driving local market development and education efforts. You will collaborate with sales, proceduralists, and non-invasive partners to increase awareness and access to care for HTN patients through program development and strategic alignment.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a rapidly expanding team responsible for introducing a potentially transformative therapy in healthcare. Renal Denervation (RDN) has the potential to become a multibillion-dollar market globally in the next five years. Join the US RDN launch team to help bring this revolutionary therapy to HTN patients in the US.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and pilot strategies aligned with broader organizational launch and therapy objectives.
  • Lead clinical data and program planning discussions with stakeholders to streamline patient care pathways.
  • Identify key stakeholders and develop partnerships with cardiologists, HTN specialists, hospital executives, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Understand customer needs and recommend initiatives to support stakeholder objectives.
  • Utilize CRM software to track activities and report quarterly productivity.
  • Manage pilot and awareness activities within budget constraints.
  • Collaborate with sales and clinical teams to identify and deliver solutions meeting customer needs.
  • Align materials, programs, and resources with hypertension awareness initiatives.
  • Partner with sales and marketing teams on customer expansion strategies.
  • Support a culture of collaboration, customer focus, ethics, and execution within the team.
  • Participate in relevant association and society events.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and manage administrative and expense requirements.
Must Have:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 7+ years of experience in marketing, program or market development, sales, or sales support (5+ years with an advanced degree)
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
Nice to Have:
  • MBA or Master's in Business, Hospital Administration, Nursing, or Life Science
  • Experience in healthcare marketing or consultative selling in medical devices or pharmaceuticals
  • Experience working in a hospital's CV suite, such as Cath Lab or CV program leadership
  • Experience in developing new markets and tracking performance

Benefits & Compensation

Medtronic offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and various employee resources. Salary range for U.S. locations (excluding PR): $127,200 - $190,800, with eligibility for incentives.
