This role is best suited for candidates with 10 or more years of relevant experience in CAD/EDA, semiconductor design flows, software or scripting, validation, compute infrastructure, or a closely related engineering area. In this role, you will define advanced CAD requirements, architectures, methodologies, and technical approaches within an approved domain, partner with design, verification, IT, infrastructure, product, test, manufacturing, vendor, and user teams, and help deliver reliable, scalable, supportable design environments and engineering-productivity improvements.

Responsibilities
  • Define and evolve advanced CAD/EDA architectures, methodologies, flows, tools, scripts, automation, and engineering-software solutions.
  • Translate complex semiconductor-design, verification, infrastructure, product, user, and business needs into scalable technical direction.
  • Guide semiconductor, analog, digital, RF, PCB, ASIC, FPGA, SoC, verification, and design-automation approaches within approved scope.
  • Integrate performance, capacity, reliability, security, quality, risk, lifecycle, and technical-tradeoff analyses into decisions.
  • Direct critical technical investigations, validation strategies, release-readiness reviews, and corrective actions within approved authority.
  • Drive reusable methodology, automation, observability, standardization, supportability, and engineering-productivity improvements.
  • Influence cross-functional roadmaps and coordinate deliverables across design, verification, IT, infrastructure, product, test, manufacturing, vendors, and users.
  • Provide broad technical guidance and mentoring without implied people-management, budget, or final enterprise-decision authority.
Requirements/Qualifications

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with 10 or more years of relevant experience in semiconductor CAD/EDA, design automation, engineering software, software development, scripting, design flows, verification, compute infrastructure, technical support, or closely related equivalent experience.

Qualified candidates should demonstrate advanced analytical and strategic thinking, architecture and methodology development, structured problem solving, technical influence, decision-ready communication, documentation, cross-functional collaboration, quality focus, and the ability to guide complex CAD, EDA, software, infrastructure, verification, and semiconductor-design decisions.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with semiconductor CAD/EDA, design automation, engineering software, design-flow development, physical verification, compute or grid infrastructure, or technical support. Experience with scripting, software development, validation, regression, debugging, automation, or engineering-productivity improvement.
