Job summary

Duke Energy in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Principal Energy Advisor to drive energy sales initiatives across small and large customers. You will serve as the subject matter expert for our technologies, products and services, promoting solutions that meet customer needs and support Duke Energy’s growth.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree with extensive related experience, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and CRM proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with significant experience in energy sales or a related area.
• Associate degree with substantial experience or HS/GED with extensive experience may substitute.
• CRM/Salesforce experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support and navigate products and services for small business and residential customers, trade allies, builders, developers and property managers.
• Prospect/identify customer leads in Duke service areas by collecting usage data and site information.
• Develop relationships with homeowners, builders, architects and other stakeholders to introduce Duke Energy products and services.
• Qualify and close sales of regulated products and services with customers.
