Job summary

Raytheon Literacy? Raytheon is seeking a senior hardware engineering leader in Tucson, AZ. You will head a multi-disciplined hardware team, drive program management, supplier interactions, and design reviews to ensure compliance with customer requirements and DoD standards.

The role emphasizes data analysis, obsolescence management, manufacturability improvements, and mentoring across IPTs, CPTLs, and leadership. A strong engineering background with leadership experience is essential.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM degree and a minimum of 8 years’ prior relevant experience.
  • At least 4 years of experience managing a multi-disciplined Hardware Engineering Team.
  • Experience with technical team and supplier management.
  • Experience identifying the issues and developing recommended courses of action to technical leadership (IPTL, CEs, or team leaders).
  • Expert-level proficiency in multiple engineering disciplines, typically achieved through a combination of advanced education and extensive professional experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead focused efforts across technical and program management disciplines to help the team comply with customer’s requirements and modern electrical design standards.
  • Analyze data of different program products to ensure consistency in performance and data outputs.
  • Analyze manufacturing system performance to identify constraints, risks, improvement opportunities and manufacturing rate increase.
  • Review design updates and correlate them to historical changes and context.
  • Align performance parameters of legacy products with subsystems that are redesigned for obsolescence and/or producibility.
  • Perform data collection activities, including review and analysis of data elements, and provide detailed reports of results.
  • Participate in troubleshooting to ensure implementation of proper level of technical rigor and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate and effectively communicate with hardware focused IPTs, CPTLs, program leadership, customers, and business associates both internal and external to Raytheon.
  • Contribute to strategic roadmaps focused on capacity growth, technology insertion, infrastructure upgrades, obsolescence mitigation, and future capabilities.
  • Provide mentoring and guidance to team members and REAs emphasizing best practices and lessons learned.

Raytheon’s Land & Shipboard Effector Guidance Systems (LSEGS) Department is responsible for the delivery of affordable and innovative electrical products. Accountable for program execution including cost, schedule and technical oversight throughout the product lifecycle. Providing resources to drive development and sustainment activities of our Land and Naval based electrical products. What You Will Do

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
