Job summary

Monolithic Power Systems, Inc. (MPS) is seeking a Principal design engineer to own the full cycle of our high‑resolution ADC products, from architecture to design, simulation, layout supervision and post‑layout verification.

You will design, simulate, and verify ADCs using Cadence and Mentor environments, stay current with advances, supervise layout engineers, and collaborate with digital teams to ensure top‑notch performance in next‑generation power‑delivery systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in ADC circuit design, especially high‑resolution ADCs.
• Self‑motivated and able to collaborate across multiple disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Design, simulate, and verify ADCs with current EDA tools and environment.
• Stay up‑to‑date with the latest advancements to drive innovation.

Job Description

As a Principal design engineer, you will be responsible for the full cycle of our high-resolution ADC products, from architecture to design, simulation, layout supervision and post-layout verification.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, simulate, and verify ADC with current EDA tools and environment.
• Stay up‑dated with the latest advancements to drive innovation.
• Work closely with other functional teams for ADC definition and architecture.
• Supervise layout engineer to ensure product performance.
• Work with digital designer for interface and integration.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: experience in ADC circuit design, especially on high resolution ADC. Self‑motivated, willing to learn new technologies, & capable of working effectively within a group of individuals across multiple disciplines.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in design tools such as Cadence/Mentor
• Solid knowledge in layout design and extraction
• Knowledge of digital design flow, digital system, and integration is a plus
• Experience on mixed-mode system level simulation is a plus
• Solid written & verbal communication abilities
