Reddit is seeking a Principal UX Engineer to bridge design and engineering, turning ideas into high-quality product experiences across Reddit Ads. The role emphasizes shaping strategy, building reusable components, and advancing interaction quality at scale.

You will lead hands-on work, mentor others, and collaborate with Design, Research, Product, Engineering, and Data Science to move from concept to production while exploring AI-enabled improvements.

Qualifications

• Deep experience at the intersection of product design and engineering.
• Proficient with modern frontend tech such as React and TypeScript.
• Experience influencing product direction across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead the UX engineering strategy across multiple areas of Reddit Ads.
• Build high-quality, functional prototypes and product experiences that help teams explore ideas, test assumptions, and make better decisions.
• Partner with senior cross-functional leaders to shape product direction and bring clarity to complex opportunities.
• Create reusable tools, systems, components, and workflows from design and research into production.
• Raise the bar for interaction quality, accessibility, performance, and technical craft across the Ads experience.
• Explore how AI can improve advertiser products and the way teams design and build them.
• Mentor other practitioners and help grow UX Engineering as a capability across Reddit.
