Lutron Electronics is seeking a Principal UX Designer to join our Philadelphia, PA team. This role operates at both strategic and execution levels, partnering with senior leadership to shape direction while guiding teams to deliver exceptional product experiences.

They will focus on structuring ambiguous problems, driving alignment, and enabling better product decisions. The role requires consensus management and strong stakeholder management across product, engineering, and business functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in design, HCI, information science, or computer science.
• 10+ years of UX/product design experience, including leadership at principal/staff level.
• Proven ability to lead senior-level, cross-functional workshops and drive strategic alignment.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and influence with limited authority.
• Ability to bring clarity to complex, ambiguous problem spaces and steer teams.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate design-thinking workshops with senior stakeholders to drive alignment and accelerate decisions.
• Translate strategies into clear, testable product directions through rapid prototyping and visualization.
• Lead teams through ambiguity, turning complex problems into actionable plans.
• Drive consensus across business, product, and technical perspectives.
• Create durable artifacts that guide downstream execution across products.
