Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Principal Technical Program Manager to lead the Software Regulatory Compliance initiative across all Devices product lines, including Kindle, Echo, Fire TV, Fire Tablet, Ring, Blink, and Eero. You will define the multi-year strategy, drive the compliance lifecycle, and partner with Legal, Public Policy, and product teams to translate regulations into actionable engineering requirements.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering experience.
• 7+ years of technical product or program management experience.
• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules.

Responsibilities

• Own the software regulatory compliance strategy across Devices, working with product lines to anticipate impact of regulations and define readiness plans.
• Define end-to-end framework and mechanisms governing the full compliance lifecycle, from tracking regulations to certification and audits.
• Partner with Public Policy and Legal to translate regulations into actionable engineering requirements and operationalize compliance across product lines.
• Lead diverse stakeholders across Legal, Security, Hardware Compliance, and product teams to find the simplest, most efficient path to compliance.
• Establish standards, tooling, and reporting for visibility into compliance status, risk, and readiness across devices portfolio.
• Negotiate trade-offs and align roadmaps across product lines to deliver the right outcomes.
• Drive cross-functional communication to keep leadership aligned, including in monthly/quarterly reviews.
• Drive continuous improvement in scaling compliance execution, including AI and automation.
