SkyWater Technology, Inc. in Austin, TX is seeking a Principal Technician Maintenance Mechanic for Fab Facilities FM to lead and coordinate our maintenance crew in a fast-paced semiconductor manufacturing environment.

The role requires hands-on technical expertise across plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry and welding, plus strong communication and urgency to keep the facility running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• 10 years of semiconductor maintenance experience.
• 3-5 years experience coordinating a maintenance team.
• Familiarity with clean room requirements and protocols.
• Familiarity with high purity materials and fabrication methods.
• Hands on experience in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry and/ or TIG welding.
• Mechanically inclined, troubleshoot equipment, and have strong communication and follow-up.
• Able to learn and use software to order materials and equipment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

We are looking for a Principal Technician Maintenance Mechanic - Fab Facilities FM for our Austin, TX, location.

Applicants must have direct experience coordinating a maintenance crew in a fast paced, semiconductor manufacturing environment.

Major Areas of Accountability

• Coordinate and prioritize day-to-day operations of the Facilities Trouble Call Team.
• Professionally interface with customers for maintenance and repairs covering a variety of tasks in support of a large semiconductor fabrication facility.
• Plan and complete tasks, both planned and unplanned as they arise in the most efficient manner.
• Order, receive and track materials and equipment needed to support maintenance projects
• Work within defined technical processes and procedures
• Manage team costs and budgets

Required Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
